Upper and lower type codes; These codes identify specific values, setpoints, control relays, or ASCII strings for MACO 4000 data transmission. The three left-most digits should be selected from the following list and are defined as the Type Upper Byte:

OxH is a value
1XH is a Setpoint
2XH is a Control Relay
4XH is an ASCII string

The two right-most digits of this field are associated with the Type Lower Byte. Refer to the MACO 4000 RS-232 Digital Communications Instruction Manual for valid choices.
