PlantStar Panorama Help

Voice Output

A PlantStar Panorama system configured with the Voice Output Option is able to broadcast messages relating to currently monitored exception conditions such as:

·Down states
·Idle states
·Fast states
·Slow states
·Assist states
·Production exceptions
·Process variable exceptions
·Reject Exceptions

These messages can be heard on speakers or public address systems.

There are three primary components to the Voice application:

·Configuring Your Voice System,
·Monitoring Exception Conditions,
·Monitoring Individual Machine Status

The general procedure for setting up a Voice system is:

·Define Your System Parameters - Decide upon how often announcement messages should be broadcast. Use the System Parameters window under the Configure menu to set this schedule.

·Define The Announcement Format - Decide whether each exception announcement should be proceeded by an attention announcement. Use the Attention Announcement window under the Configure menu to set this schedule.

·Configure The Announcements - Decide on which machines, machine states, process variable exceptions, assist reasons, and down reasons should be monitored for exception announcement. Setup of these conditions are done via the Configure windows.
