Anchoring Selected Job
Anchoring job in the Job Schedule Board allows you to move the selected job anywhere within it's position of the job queue. This gives you the ability to schedule the job at a more precise date and time than the other job scheduling methods.First, you must first choose one of the two scheduling methods:
| · | Schedule jobs by earliest start date (default)
|
| · | Schedule jobs by due date
|
The default method on the Job Schedule window is the first method; which will schedule the next job to run immediately following the completion of previously-queued jobs.
To anchor a selected job:
| · | Choose one of the two scheduling methods desribed above. This determines the anchor point of the selected job.
|
| · | Click on the Anchor |
| · | If the job schedule by earliest start date is selected, the icon will appear on the left side of the selected job. If the job schedule by due date is selected, the icon will appear on the right side of the selected job.
|
| · | Once anchored, you can move the selected job anywhere within it's position of the job queue. This allows you to specify the exact time a job will run.
|
| · | Click on the Commit |
NOTE: If the job is anchored at its earliest start date, the anchor on the bar will appear red in color. If scheduled at any other time, the bar anchor will appear blue.
