Save Session
Defining and updating your shop floor definitions is an extremely important part of PlantStar Panorama. When shop floor definitions change, the new information is loaded down to a DCM and the database.Many shop floor characteristics are inter-related. Communications Processor information needs boot set information. Machine definitions need communications processor and DCM information. Since changes that you make to shop floor definitions are so inter-related and immediate, PlantStar Panorama provides a feature to edit multiple shop floor characteristics before you send them down, all at once, to the shop floor.
The Save Session menu command under the File menu lets you decide when new or updated shop floor definitions should be sent to a DCM. You can edit any number of setup windows. No action is taken with regard to actually sending information to the shop floor until you click the Save Session menu item.
