To allow a BetaMux to send a DCM information for more than one process variable, a selector switch must be connected to the DCM's contact inputs. The selector switch must be a binary coded switch. This type of switch will have five connections. Four of the five contacts should be marked 1, 2, 4 and 8. The fifth is a common. The following is an example of how to connect a selector switch to the contact inputs.

The selector switch contacts #1,2,4,8 must connect to four consecutive contact inputs.
