forcing a machine down

A machine can be forced into a down state from the Down Select field. Click on the arrow to the right of this field. A list of down reasons appears. Select the desired reason by clicking on its name. The machine will go down within the next machine cycle.

When a machine enters a forced down state, its associated DCM may or may not continue to count parts and monitor process variable information. The action taken depends upon how the down reason which triggered the "forced down" is defined in terms of its force down and ignore cycles flags. These flags are set on the Down Reason Sets window.
