Machine Setup
The Machine Setup window lets you add, change or delete a machine definition. It is used to configure a machine to match a unique monitoring environment. Down reason sets, assist reason sets, and reject reason sets are assigned, along with analog inputs and digital inputs.
Monitoring machines in Real-Time is the primary goal of PlantStar Panorama. Machines are the main data collection point. In order to create work orders and scheduled jobs, at least one machine must be already defined and its information downloaded to the shop floor.
A list of defined machines is displayed upon the opening of this window. If no machines have been defined, the window appears blank. If machines have been defined, they can be selected for viewing from the machine field in the upper left corner. Once selected, a machine's general parameters, as well as its process variables and profiles appear. The process variables and profiles are located on the bottom portion of the window.
